Dr. Çağlar Ataman, co-founder of Phaseform and inventor of our Deformable Phase Plate technology, has secured a European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant of €10 million together with his international collaborators. The Synergy Grant is one of Europe's most prestigious research awards and funds teams that bring together complementary expertise to tackle problems no single group could solve.
The project addresses a challenge where progress has stalled for decades: the early diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. By developing advanced optical catheters with 3D micro- and nanoprinting, the team aims to perform diagnosis, biopsy and therapy in a single endoscopic procedure.
Çağlar's pioneering work in micro-optics laid the foundation of Phaseform, and we could not be prouder to see it recognized at this level. Congratulations!
